Brittany's Bio
Here are some facts: My name is Brittany Simpson, or, most commonly, Britt. I was born in San Bernardino, but I don’t remember anything about it. Or much about my father, either, for that matter. My mother, brother and I moved to Grant Park, Illinois when I was about one, where my grandparents lived, and then when I was about 12 we moved to Lowell, Indiana, now my hometown. I graduated from Lowell High School and recently The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Media Arts & Animation. (2018)
Here are some other facts: I am nice. I love animals. I am an organized neat freak, but I won’t judge or organize you, unless you want me too. Then just leave the room. And, maybe most of all, the thing that informs just about everything about my personality is that I am loving, and I am loved. While I have no contact with my biological father, I do not miss him because I have my DAD, all capitals, my mom, my brother and my grandparents. My step Dad adheres to all of the qualifications of what a DAD should be to my whole family. Before my mother married him, she had to do everything. My grandparents helped, of course, and they are a part of why I feel so loved, but once she found Wes, or he found us, everything fell into place. I am very lucky. We are all very lucky.
While in school, I was busy. I worked as a student worker at Equipment Cage/Service Bureau purveying equipment and I printing many, many, many documents for students and faculty. Many. I was also a student ambassador, spreading the word to potential newbies, and a team production supervisor for my team production class. In addition, I was an intern art director at the Lloyd Agency Company. The professional skills that I bring to the table are 3D modeling, Character Rigging, Object & Asset Texturing, Lighting and Digital Imaging. In February, 2019, I completed the Disney College Program twice playing in two roles, Houseperson (7 months) and Photopass Photographer (2 1/2 months). My short-term goal is to apply for jobs related in animation to gain background experience. My long-term goal is obtaining a job position at Walt Disney Animation Studio or at least one of the famous animation companies for the rest of my career.
I was a student so long I haven’t developed too many new pastimes, but I like to watch TV shows, right now Once Upon a Time and Frankie and Grace, and movies, particularly Lion King and Zootopia, and I love to play games and spend time with family. My favorite plant and color are Red Roses. My first car was a Red Chevy Cruise 2015. My favorite vacation so far is going to St. Louis Arch with my grandparents. My favorite chocolate is Reese’s. I like to listen to pretty much any genre of music but if I had a choice it would be Country or Pop. As you can tell from my website, my favorite insect is a ladybug because my mother would have me a little dress with lady bug pattern on it and ever since then it has always resonated with me.
